The mission of Central Christian College of the Bible is to produce graduates that are leaders in their communities and servants of the church both on an international and national level. The school wants to instill the skills and knowledge in students that a career in the church and ministry will require from them. Students will get a valuable education within the framework of the Christian church, earning them not only a degree but the strength, commitment and drive to be productive members of their communities, no matter where they decide to call home.
Central Christian College of the Bible was founded in 1957 in Moberly, Mo. The board of directors that founded the school hoped that it would serve the community by training church leaders according to New Testament teaching. Since 1968, the college has been located at its current campus but has grown over the years in terms of its size and its enrollment. The school has worked hard over the years to fulfill its mission to make an impact not only locally but globally as well.
While the college is affiliated with the Restoration Movement it is wholly non-denominational. No matter what branch of Christianity students follow they will be accepted at Central Christian College of the Bible as the school holds firm to its belief in providing education for all Christians. The college finds support from Christians and independent churches from across the country. One benefit that makes Central Christian College stand out, however, is that all students accepted for full-time enrollment will get a full scholarship from the school that covers tuition. Other expenses, like room and board, however, are the student's responsibility to cover.
Students can take classes on the campus of Central Christian College or through the college's online distance learning program if they can't make it to the campus. This can make it easier for those who want to pursue a Bible-focused education while balancing the demands of family and finances. Central Christian College offers a variety of Christian majors, including Biblical Research, Christian Counseling, Christian Education, Cross-Cultural Ministry, Music Ministry and more. These can be attained at both the bachelor's and associate levels and other majors are provided through cooperation with other schools like Columbia College and Hannibal-LaGrange College.
