Who We Are
We are an interdenominational, nonpartisan organization connecting students with Bible and Christian universities that fit their needs. Our content is not limited to one denomination or sect of Christianity.
What We Do
Our mission is to help students through every step of their college journey, from choosing a university to graduating and preparing for the real world. Community and Resources sections include in-depth academic and Christian life guides to help students make the most of their college experience. You can also browse through our comprehensive school database and filter by degree type, location, institution type, and more to find a university that meets your criteria.
How do you define and distinguish a Christian and Bible college from a traditional college?
Both Bible colleges and Christian colleges provide religiously grounded educations. Bible colleges tend to offer mainly faith-based classes and degrees which prepare students for careers working directly within the church or other religious organizations. Christian colleges, on the other hand, usually take a more multidisciplinary approach, offering religious majors and courses as well as traditional programs commonly offered at secular schools. You can learn more by reading our guide breaking down the differences between Christian and Bible colleges here.
How do you define Christianity?
The core of Christianity is the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. God is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Anyone can have eternal life if they put their faith in Jesus Christ and live according to his teachings. Every denomination varies in its doctrine, but this is the fundamental characteristic that distinguishes Christianity from other religions. The major branches of Christianity are Catholic, Anglican, Protestant, and Orthodox.
Where and how is your information collected?
School Information: Our school database features two- and four-year public and private nonprofit Christian and Bible universities listed under a Christian religious affiliation in IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System), which is hosted by the National Center for Education Statistics.
We gather this information once a year. If a university is not featured in our database or on one of our Online Degree Pages it’s because it was not listed in IPEDS at the time the data was collected.
Career and State-specific Data: All salary figures and job growth projections are pulled annually from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Geo-specific information regarding religious affiliations and habits of certain populations are pulled directly from the Pew Research Center.
Why online education?
Students face many barriers when it comes higher education -- work obligations, health, family, and finances are all major factors to consider when choosing a best-fit degree program. Students in full-time ministry, like missions or church leadership, often find distance education to be more convenient, flexible, and affordable than traditional on-campus programs.
Who writes your content and how often is it updated?
Our editorial staff is comprised of education experts and reviewed by faculty, alumni, and students from our Christian College partners. Our data and content is updated annually.
How do you make money?
We have financial partnerships with some of the schools featured on our site. When users request to receive more information about a program offered through one of these schools, we may be compensated for the referral. All schools with which we are financially linked are clearly labeled as "Sponsored," "Featured," or something similar. All of the resources on our pages are free to use and share; editorial content on our pages is not influenced by our partnerships with sponsored schools.
