Christian Grants (for Any School)

Below are grants that are awarded to students at specific Christian colleges or Bible colleges across the United States. Students can find grants to places like California Baptist University, Indiana Wesleyan, Le Tourneau University, and others. Some of these grants can be awarded to any student at the school, while others are only for students enrolled in special programs. Other grants are awarded to students who have parents active in ministry or mission work. They can be used for tuition, living expenses and other expenses accrued during school.

  • California Baptist University Grant: California Baptist University offers qualifying students this grant, which pays $9,708 of tuition costs per year, or an adjusted amount for future recipients. Students who qualify must meet certain GPA standards and financial need criteria.
  • Esperanza College Grant: The branch campus of Eastern University offers a grant to Latino students of the North Philadelphia community. Eligible students must have been awarded a FAFSA grant and continue to be a full-time student.
  • Indiana Wesleyan Pastor Dependent Grant: Indiana University students wishing to receive this grant must submit proof that one of their parents is a full-time, ordained Wesleyan minister serving in a local church or as District Superintendent.
  • Grants for Dependents of Christian Workers: LeTourneau University offers this scholarship to students who are the dependents of full-time ministers or missionaries of recognized organizations. With this grant, students can be relieved of $200-$1,000 per year.
  • Accredited Christian College or University Grant: This grant is given on behalf of the Alliance Theological Seminary within the Nyack College network. New bachelor’s degree candidates can earn $1,000 per year as long as they are enrolled at an accredited Christian school. Students who have already received the Alliance Education Leadership Grant are not eligible, and students must enroll at ATS within nine months of graduation.
  • Heritage Grant: Northwest Christian University awards the Heritage Grant to full-time traditional daytime undergraduate students. Students must attend a Disciples of Christ church or Christian Church. The grant is worth $2,500 per year and can be renewed for up to four years.
  • North Carolina students attending Wingate University can participate in this matching grant program if their Baptist church agrees to cooperate. The maximum total amount is $700, with Wingate donating a maximum of amount of $350.
  • The Certain Private Education Institutions Grant Program: Also known as CPEI, The Certain Private Education Institutions Grant Program awards grants to students enrolled at the Roanoke Bible College or the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. For students to receive this grant, they must not be eligible for similar state grants. For the 2008-9 academic year, the maximum amount of money given was $1,950 per student.
  • Cedarville University: Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH, awards five different grants to students involved in ministry. Students must assist local churches and families in full-time ministry to receive one of the following grant programs: Church Matching Grants, Charles Colson Ministry Grants, Christian Educators Grants, Jeremiah Pastoral Ministry Grants, and Kempton Missions Grants.
  • Alaska Bible College Matching Grant: Alaska Bible College will accept and match a donation from your church. Donations must be $750 per semester for your first year of study at Alaska Bible College. The church must also commit to pray for you regularly and keep up a relationship with you during school. During your second year and until you graduate, ABC will continue to donate a maximum of $250 per semester.
